Course Description: This is a Lab-based course investigating the physical sciences. There are 2 major sections. The first section is introductory Chemistry, which will be studied throughout the first semester. The second section is introductory Physics, which will be covered during the second semester. Learning takes place via labs, group projects, field investigations, demonstrations, computer and online tools, direct instruction, reading, and writing.

Objectives:

  • Development of necessary problem-solving skills using the scientific process.

  • To understand the fundamentals of Physical Science and their applications in everyday life.
