Welcome to my Science website.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Pradip Chandra Misra. I have been a Science teacher for more than 16 years. I have worked in the US and abroad as well. I have traveled extensively in Asia, Northern Europe, and East  & North Africa. I have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Chemistry & Math. Also I have the Bachelor of Education degree(B.Ed.) in Science and Math. In addition to that I have the post graduate diploma in Management.

I also have been awarded "Most Dedicated STEM Teacher" by the SuperBowl host committee.

I have been awarded Yavapai County Teacher of the Year award for HS.

I am a mountaineer and love climbing the mountains. I like playing soccer, cricket, badminton, and lawn tennis. Rafting in high flowing rivers is also one of my favorite sports.

I am member of various organizations and have worked in many roles such as the Judge in the Intel International Science and Engineering fair and the US army cybermission competition. I am also a resource/expert teacher in Climatology, ArcGIS, and educational technology .

Right now I am the regional director of the Yavapai region of the Arizona Science Teachers Association .

Here in Bagdad High School our goal is to make learning an enjoyable experience. Learning science is fun and at the same time demanding too. I want my students to come prepared to learn. The purpose of being in a school is to learn.

I have been teaching science for a long time and I have a firm belief that through hardwork and dedication students can achieve anything. Setting a higher goal is always helpful in getting motivated.

The communication among teachers, parents, and students is an important tool in improving the performance of the students, so I suggest that parents should keep track of the progress of their students and communicate with the teacher on a regular basis.

Science offers exciting career opportunities and I want my students to start exploring them. That will keep them focused too. There are plenty of jobs in medical sciences and engineering. The only requirement is that they should take studying seriously. Always remember that there is no alternative to hard work.
